Vecinos Unidos:
Empower Latino Lives
In the heart of Buford Highway, a vibrant and diverse community thrives. Among its residents are hardworking and resilient Latino immigrant families, striving to build a better future for themselves and their children. Our nonprofit is dedicated to advocating for their rights and providing vital programs and support.

Imagine a community where every family has access to fair housing, where tenant rights are protected, and where immigrant families can pursue their dreams without barriers. Los Vecinos de Buford Highway unites neighbors throughout our community, embodying the vision to cultivate community, magnify the voices of residents, and create future leaders. We bring resources directly to the doorsteps of our Latino neighbors, making a tangible difference in their lives. From educational workshops that empower parents and children alike to free legal aid that ensures justice prevails, we are there every step of the way.

With your support, Los Vecinos de Buford Highway can continue to empower and uplift the lives of our Latino community members. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for all residents of Buford Highway.
Join us in building bridges, breaking down walls, and ensuring that no neighbor is left behind.

HELP US TAKE THESE FAMILIES OUT OF INHUMANE LIVING CONDITIONS!
Buford Highway Neighbors has been assisting a tenant living at 3659 Buford Highway- Villas de Colinas on Buford Highway since January 2022 with a variety of issues within her apartment that property management refuses to fix. As of May 22, 2022, there was a sewage issue at the property that directly affected 4 families in 4 separate units in Building C of this apartment complex. All of these families have small children, babies included. All of them have been left to live in the wastewater for more than a week. They all need our help. Official complaints have been filed multiple times with property management, the city of Brookhaven and now Dekalb County. Both the local police department and fire department have made some reports.

Due to the continued neglect and unlivable conditions these families continue to endure, our team is assisting families with legal assistance, financial assistance, and temporary housing. We are asking for your help today to give these families the dignity they deserve. This fundraiser will pay for extended stay rooms for our families, basic needs, and replacing some of their things as all their belongings and furniture are destroyed.
We're raising funds to provide resources
directly to families in our community.

This fundraiser is just the tip of the iceberg. There are apartments like we talked about that do not have access to daily lunch, specifically meals provided through the schools and now that school is out but jobs have not returned, families are very needy. The amount of $10,000.00 does not even begin to address the needs that local school systems will not be able to meet. It's quite an undertaking, but there's a plan afoot! We have a food pantry in partnership with LCF_GA and the Consulate General of Mexico. Every weekend we distribute bags of food to families who are not served by other food pantries or who lack transportation to pick up food from food pantries. With $100 we can make 100 meals. Let's feed our families one meal at a time.
